A/C filters are generally located near attics, large basements, or garages. In order to replace the filter turn the power off at the unit itself, and also at the circuit breaker, for the safety of oneself and others. Next, remove the old filter by simply sliding it out of the slot that holds it in place. Finally, check the condition of the filter, if the filter looks dull dispose of it in a safe and correct manner and insert your new filter.
